I am thinking of apply by post. Looks like the waiting times are quite high and Premium appointments are £400 expensive.

After a SUPER long wait we've had our response.

Applied on 9th February
Biometrics done about 1/2 weeks afterwards

Documents came today (no one was home, they're being delivered tomorrow)

So total waiting time was 4 months 13 days which seems about average.

This forum and everyone in it has been invaluable during this wait, thank you to every one so much.

Just a little more info: We applied under Set O. After my dad spent 5 years with a work permit. My dad applied with my mom and my sister as dependents and me as an over 18 dependent.

Good luck to everyone who are waiting, stay strong and have faith.

Another bit of good news today. Friends of ours got their postal SET M back today, with a positive result.

It took four and a half months, which seems to be the average at the moment.

On the positive side that could mean ours comes back in two weeks time, which is also the date we have our 16 week scan on our first baby! Inshallah :-)

Also all the preparations for Ramadan are in full swing in our house :-)

...Finally I have decided to write in this forum.
To be fair, I cannot count how many times that I have visited this forum especially on a daily basis.
The main reason is a scripture from the Bible which I love so much and encourages me daily...
"FOR TO HIM THAT IS JOINED TO ALL THE LIVING THERE IS HOPE:"(Ecclesiastes 9:4).
So GOD bless the writers in this forum.
The month of JULY is here and our prayer is that this ILR would touch our hands with success results (MARCH APPLICANTS) and all others still waiting.

TIMELINE
27/02/14 - Submitted Application via Checking Service
03/03/14 - Application received at HO (tracked on Royal Mail)
04/03/14 - Application Money taken
10/03/14 - Acknowledgement Letter received dated 04/03/14
19/03/14 - Biometrics Letter received
20/03/14 - Biometrics submitted at Post Office

As at today 01/07/14...still waiting.

It is the 123rd day, so prayer today is that about time it should be simple as 1-2-3.

See you all around.

GOD bless.

Hello guys..
We submitted my husband's Set M application March I think around the 16th. Biometrics were enrolled a week later at post office. I still haven't received any of our supporting documents back.. When should they arrive? I sent a special delivery envelope in there for return of documents. Unfortunately I have lost the receipt so can't track it.

Also When ILR is approved how do we find out? Will a letter be sent out to us?

I am really anxious and it's been a rather long stressful wait for us.. Good luck to all!

You will get a letter of confirmation of approval along with you documents in the same envelope. If it's been approved. And u will get ur brp card with DX courier separately. Hope you will get a good news soon. Good luck

Hello all

Posting for info, another successful result!

Set M sent special delivery February 28
Documents and approval letter received July 3, BRP yet to get here. So happy!

Does anyone know how long it takes for the BRP to arrive after documents? They say 7-10 working days in the paperwork.

Wishing everyone the best of luck, this forum has been a lifeline!

...It is the 125th day since we submitted my application for SET M.
Psalm 125:1 reads '"THEY THAT TRUST IN THE LORD SHALL BE AS MOUNT ZION, WHICH CANNOT BE REMOVED, BUT ABIDETH FOR EVER".
As I write the postman has just delivered the brown envelope, however would like to open it and share the moment with my sweetheart.
So I have not opened it, however it is such a delight to have the post.
It has been 4 months and 5days of waiting...pray it is over now.
We will update later, however just had to write cause this forum has been my best buddy for a while now and I just decided that JULY has to be a time to write and encourage this 'FAMILY' of ours.
All the best...

Hello Everyone,

Congratulations for the February/March applications!
My situation is a little bit more delicate than yours, I bet.
My spouse visa was due to expire on 01/06/14, so I sent my first application on 28/05/14, which was returned as invalid as my (excuse my French) facing credit card refused the payment on the grounds of 'suspicion of fraud'.
Second application sent on 14/06/14, and again my credit card refused the payment (even though I called to let them know about it and the system should automatically recognise that previous attempt was authorised), so it all came back to me on 02/07/14.
Now I've sent again this time paying by Cheque, so not taking risks no more and also I managed to save the £1093.
Fingers crossed it won't take ages cos my boss can't give me any more hours at work because I can't work now til I get my new visa (according to the Home Office).

Hi tcbrasil,
dont worry about your working, when they take money from your account then they will send you a approval letter that mention you can work and you can make a copy from that to show to your boss.
