Default on Loan

Post by cheekyvirgin » Fri Jul 04, 2014 1:30 am

im asking question behalf of my work colleague who is applying for her ILR soon.

She took loan of 30k from her bank and could not pay back.. and she is in the process of applying her ILR, wondering if that could effect in making decision, Further she has changed her name too with new passport with different surname.

Please advice.

Why your friend does not ask herself 8). Seems like a fraudulent activity

Shouldn't be an issue. She should have contacted national debt line or similar to make a payment offer.

Sorry I was meant to write that she spoken to her bank that she can't pay the original monthly installment but would pay little each month.

No doubt her credit history will go worse and stay there for 6 years. She was wondering if that is linked up with UKBA IN ANY case, even her information passed on to the debt collection agency or even she stop paying them.

Please advice

No, the Home Office don't conduct credit checks but CCJs need to be declared.
