Tier 1 General Dependent

Post by ozi8500 » Thu Jul 03, 2014 2:26 pm

Hi all,

I'm on Tier 1 (General) visa and going for ILR in December 2015. I became father of a baby boy about 7 months ago.

I have no plans to take my baby out of the country till i get my ILR by the end of next year.

My query is, does my baby require PBS dependent visa to stay in the UK country legally if not , I'm not going to bother.

Thanks in advance for all your help and support.

No need for dependant visa for you kid. If you are not going to travel out of UK, no need to fork out visa fees. Its high and total waste of money. Just apply for his registration certificate using MN1 form once you get your PR.

Thanks for your reply but (section 1(3)) within FAQ 29 is not making sense to me (I'm sorry) . Is there any home office links where this is explained more simply.

I can understand that you are having difficulty reading the legislation webpage. Its legally drafted so it is bit hard to understand, I agree.

This is the defination from MN1 Guidance. Click Here to read the full guidance.

Section 1 (3)
A child born in the UK whose parents are not British citizens and were not settled in the
UK (see page 6) will have an entitlement to register when their parents become settled
in the UK or become British citizens.

Happy Friday

Thank you 'longshift' again for your quick response, much appreciated.

Before posting my question here I've written to the home office (Tier 1 team, vulcan house, PO BOX 3468, sheffield, s3 8wa ) just to have something in writing as i do not wanted my child immigration status to Jeopardise my ILR.

Would you think I would get a reply, if yes - how long they normally take.

Many thanks...

Tier 1 General early Extension

Post by ozi8500 » Sat Dec 13, 2014 12:38 am

Hi all,

I'm currently on Tier 1 general visa and below is my timeline.

Tier 1 General initial applicaiton leave granted for 2 years on 22/12/2010 - 22/12/2012

1st Extension Tier 1 General leave granted for 3 years on 22/12/2012 - 22/12/2015.

For few reasons I want to go for 2nd Tier 1 general extension before April 2015. My first query is, can I apply for an early extension even though when I have 9 months left on my existing visa.

My second query is, can my dependent (wife) need to apply with me or can I apply for her extension even after April 2015 when UKBA stops all Tier 1 general extensions?

Many thanks,

kuldeep

Should be okay. Wife may extend shorty before her leave expires.
