ROR with benifit

Hello Everyone..
i got my RoR ladt may & gong to apply my PR in next Octobar
i m gong to move with my new girlfrind she is british on houseing benifit she call council when i move with her they will ask my work deatil/ID she told council i m not eligible for any benifit they sad it does not matter they still want see my incone and id..
i m wondering will it effect my PR?
as i m not climing any thing please give me some advice!!
