Relationship timeline in application

Post by michaelknight » Mon Jul 07, 2014 4:09 pm

Hey,

my wife and I are concerned about previous business visas she made to visit UK, in these application forms it questions the applicant whether they know anyone in UK, she always answered no but of course we were together. Are the home office likely to dig up previous visa applications and quiz the timeline and details?

Also, we met via the internet and its difficult to decide whether this is a good way to create our relationship timeline but its the truth, we want to be as honest as we can but submit a successful application. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Meeting over the internet isn't a crime or problem, but the business visa,if it was b4 you met that shouldn't be a problem. If it was after, well you might need to explain yourself but don't make a mistake of telling them something different to what you've already told them before or believe they won't know, they have records for every applicant even if the visa was refused before.

Thank you for the heads up.

My wife came to UK four times on business trips and each time stated she didn't know anyone or have friends in the uk because she hoped those applications would go smoothly but now were faced with this dilemma of how to explain it..

Can anyone shed anymore light on this?

Each time the question asked in her previous business visas to uk " Do you have any family or friends in the UK?"

Technically she had a boyfriend rather than family or friends.

Is it worth mentioning or just hope they dont notice?
