Tier 2 general extension to new soc 2010.

Hi dear,

1: My SOC/category was 3218 which is not in new SOC 2010 and my extension is due on Feb-15. Would it effect me or not, and if yes then what do i have to do or my employer? I have 2 years Tier 2 general visa from feb-2013 to 3rd feb-15.

I had my last COS in dec-12.

when you apply for extension, while generating the cos, your employer needs to chose the new soc code which applies to you.
there will be one which applies to you or is closest to you now

It helps and relief.. Would it be straight forward or any hassle coz my catergory (3218) is no longer in there.? or can you suggest me the closest one by looking into SOC list..
also
i have a plan to visit back home on my brothers wedding just before my visa expires in dec-14 for 28 days coming back to UK on 1st of jan-15. Is it OK to go..?

@ manci, i had a look 3218 but it expires and dont last anymore, it was in soc 2000. so what will be mine now according to soc 2010.?

look again, SOC code 3218 is on p88 of the codes of practice and it is an NQF level 4 job
