Hi all
I would like to know the process of changing applicant's contact number with gerry's and ukba.

Ukba because in case I get a call for an interview.

And gerry's because I will eventually get a call to collect my documents.
If the process is via email or phone. Can you provide those details please.
Thank you

To those who have received e-mails saying that a decision cannot be made on their application until further checks have been carried out. What this means is that they are contacting external bodies such as HMRC, Employers, Banks and anyone else they need to. I queried about this on the expatforums and was told that it's done in writing and takes a long time.

All we can do is be patient.

Majy05, how did you apply? CAT A? Why did they request further documentation from you, did they list what was missing?

Hi

When and where did you apply? i applied for my wife's visa on 20th January but still getting no where :( aah my shoulders are drooping. you know this long distance relationships doesn't work for that long :( we are fighting everyday :( i have lost hope. P.S what English test did your husband take?

Thanks
Dnt worry bro i shahallah everything will be fine. I have same situation i applied 20th January 2014. Islamabad. I applied with two jobs but still hear nothing even now UKVI are not replying my emails.
yes i can imagine the agony. Btw which English test did you take?[/quote]

Hi Sami3,

My husband applied from Lahore on the 4th of October 2013!
He did the English TOEIC test, which is why i think he was called for an interview on tues.

We are still waiting for a decision. Please pray for us.

Also, if you're earning 32k - and ur wife has done ELS english test - then i cant see what the problm is.

I think that there must be a big backlog, bcos we applied in October and we are still waiting.

Lets hope theres light at the end of the tunnel!
And i do agree, long distance relationships do mke things very hard.. But stay strong. This is merely a test from Allah swt to see how we support each othr in this difficult time

Stay strong ! :)

For the past few months I've been reading all the posts congrats to all those whose visas have been granted. I would like to know if people whose visas are on hold are being called for an interview, two people whose visas were on hold were called for an interview. Any updates plz?
Are you saying that you know 2 people who were on hold and have been called for interview? Did they get visa granted?

Anywayz the income threshold decision should be known today. Insha Allah will be lowered. Im so nervous wondering what the judge would have decided !

Yes two people I know, applications were on hold they were called or an interview and their visas were granted. Inshallah all goes well tomorrow I'm scared but inshallah the decision is in favour to us and an end to all our miseries.

Hey Sarah,
How long after the interview were they granted their visa?

My husband went for an interview on Tues. But we are still waiting for a call with the decision.. :/

musriz wrote:A ridiculous and dissapointing judgement today.
All those on hold, who NOW MEET the income threshold should re-apply.
For those who dont meet the income threshold please consider other routes and options.
I am sure with the help of your families some of you could apply with cash savings etc.
Or even start self employment to make up the short fall even if it means showing self employment as a sewing machinist from home ( im sure you all understand what im trying to say )

Alhamdhulillah although I have been blessed with my husbands visa I had Plan B and Plan C already in place.
I was prepared to even sell my property to show cash savings or/and take up extra employment or self employment had it come to that. These were just some options.

The more appealing option for me was the SS route ( surinder singh route ) under the EU freemovement directive for British Citizens/EU citizens. This route in many ways is a better option for some of us although not for all.
I would request many of you to please look into all of the options especially the SS route. Many many are already undertaking this route via Ireland France Malta etc and many have been successful.
Anyone interested in the SS route can find many very helpful groups on Facebook with full guidance notes.

All the best and never give up.
May Allah make it easy for all of you.
Some very useful points. Although i don't fall under income threshold but i feel so sad for those who were relying on this day. May Allah make it easy for all of us. its been a very long journey....

Applied: Islamabad 20/01/2014
RFC: waiting...

I agree with Sami3..

Thanks for useful tips musriz.

I feel heartbroken too for all the people who were waiting for this threshold judgement.
I hope people re-apply and take the SS route as musriz advised.
That will also be my plan B. But i hope that it dznt come to that!!
:(
My 1st year of married life has gne down the drain waiting on my own! :(
