It's certainly confusing.

We want to take the chance and see what the outcome will be.

It's my understanding that we will only lose the 100pound booking fee if we are not eligible to apply - is this correct?

I will be sure to keep all updated on our experience.
I think you are right that you only risk £100... I remember Shahjee advising a member to risk the appointment and loose £100.

I wish you good luck mate... please keep us posted.

Dont worry just write a letter to case worker. case worker name should be on refusal letter give a reference of the immigration rule it clearly states that applicant meet or exceed

take a print out from internet, highlight the relevant rule and post to case worker. here is the relevant rule

(ii) the applicant provides an original English language test certificate in speaking
and listening from an English language test provider approved by the Secretary of State
for these purposes, which clearly shows the applicant's name and the qualification
obtained (which must meet or exceed level A1 of the Common European Framework of
Reference) unless:[/quote]

thanks brother is it possible that they will consider it and they revers their decision

Hello all,

I am new to the forum, also a first time post.

I have made an application SET(LR) based on the 10 years residency.
Application was sent the 28/06/2014
Received by Home Office on the 30/06/2014

But since then I haven't receive Any aknowlogment letter and also I made the payment by postal order so I don't know if my application has been look or not.

My employer started to put pressure on me regarding this letter.

Thank you for your help.

Guys,
My wife is going to apply for FLRM and she has B1 from Trinity London Collage.
Is this qualification enough for FLRM or not as in the home office website saying they need A1.
Some one was saying they refused his wife because same reason but B1 is higher than A1.
Any idea???
I appreciate it for your kind help and advice.

It's probably a mistake by the case worker

I and my wife live in UK and she is on dependent visa.

I’m eligible for applying ILR after 16th August on the basis of long residency. I came to know that dependents can not apply on the same application as they have to fill up separate FLR application as a dependent.

Not only me but also my legal adviser are struggling to find suitable FLR format (Either FLR (FP), (M) or (O). I enquired with UKBA and they said wait until I get my ILR then apply for the dependent. According to my understanding she has to apply same time with me as if my ILR approved it will invalidate her dependent visa otherwise.

Could you please advise me on this ?

Hi pulathisilk,

You will have to apply on FLR(M) form for your dependant.

Write a covering letter with this FLR(M) form mentioning to link the application to your application which is ILR(LR). Also mention to hold the application till a decision has been made on your application. Send photocopies of your documents (passport, current visa etc.) with that FLR(M) application as a reference.
