I’m eligible for applying ILR after 16th August on the basis of long residency. I came to know that dependents can not apply on the same application as they have to fill up separate FLR application as a dependent.

Not only me but also my legal adviser are struggling to find suitable FLR format (Either FLR (FP), (M) or (O). I enquired with UKBA and they said wait until I get my ILR then apply for the dependent. According to my understanding she has to apply same time with me as if my ILR approved it will invalidate her dependent visa otherwise.

Could you please advise me on this ?
1st thing 1st change your legal advisor who dont even know what to do....
You can apply for ur ilr and wait till its processed .once it gets approved then you can apply for your mrs flr m visa you have to meet financial requirement of 18600 if u have any other dependents then its more. As she got a valid leave till 2016 its better to wait once urs application is approved . this way is better as u dont risk 2 fees...

True... if you don't know what you're doing, don't mess about with it unnecessarily.

Hi,
I think Trinity college has been removed from approved english list, there is statement of changes dated 10 July 2014 on HO website.

@khanzada I would suggest to ring HO and confirm if they still accept english certificate from Trinity college.

Regards,
Asif

Trinity College London's GESE remains Home Office approved

On the 10th July, a statement of changes to the Immigration Rules was laid before the House. These included (at Trinity's own request), the removal of Trinity's "ESOL Skills for Life" exams from the Home Office's SELT list.

However, this in NO way affects any other of Trinity College London's exams and the GESE & ISE will remain on the Home Office approved list of Secure English Langauge Tests (SELTs). Please see the 25th page of the statement of changes, paragraph 7.15 which outlines that these exams will continue to be accepted, here.

@ khanzada,

I don't think so trinity college is out from
The list ,

Trinity college has updated this news on their website and also confirmed that it is not out from the HO approved list except then one ESOL skill for life ,

Here is the link http://englishexamcentres.co.uk

Still if any one got any other updated information regarding trinity college kindly share here with the link .

Thanks

Hi all,

I received IlR (10yr) and we applied for my partners flr(m) recently. He received it and the letter states he can apply for ilr after 2 yrs, but his brp is valid for 2 and a half years

We are going to try and make a peo appointment for settlement using for SET(m) based on the letter stating 2 years.

I need some help please

1. Please confirm the required documents
2. For those who are familiar with the rules please give some guidance that could help explain to caseworker that because letter states two years we assumed it was considered under old rules because my husband was dependant prior to July 2012

I've read some previous experiences and I hope people like moonway and others who were successful in convincing caseworkers could please explain some of the rules to me that may help our case.

Thanks and pray for us

Yes if your child is born in the UK then use MN1 form for your child's application to register as a BC.

Hope this helps

@Aurnoc ,

Congratulation to you and your hubby , so now enjoy the freedom ....

yes , from yours and other members expereinced with HO update help line numbers seems not very good , it seems HO staff who are answering the queries on the phone have no updated information on their system so i will say just ignore them and keep your trust in Allah , INSHA ALLAH sooner or later every one will get the good news :P

Thanks
