Family Visitor Visa without tenancy agreement

Post by suhasrm » Thu Jul 17, 2014 12:00 pm

Hi,

I am on tier 2 ICT short term visa in UK. My visa expires on 14 Dec 2014 and I will be returning India on 12th Dec. My wife is working in India and I want to invite my wife and my 22 months old son to visit UK for 8-10 weeks for holiday. I do not have a tenancy agreement as I am staying in a shared accommodation. The place where I am currently staying is quite a big apartment with 2 bedrooms, one living room, Spam and two baths. Me along with a friend, only two of us are staying at present and it can well accommodate my wife and son.

The only problem is I do not have tenancy agreement, will that be a problem for applying visa for my wife and son? What other option do I have?

I did search the forum, but am not getting anything related to my query.... Please help

your wife and son should apply for general visitor visas, family visitor visas are only for family members of settled persons.

the requirements for general visitor visas are here:
https://www.gov.uk/general-visit-visa/overview

You don't need a tenancy agreement, for the documents needed see:
