Hi,
I am currently on Tier 1 and planning to apply for the settlement (ILR) on 11th Aug-2014.The year breakdown is as follows:
Year From To Absence from Absence To TotalAbsence
Year 1 11-Aug-14 12-Aug-13 23-Aug-13 27-Aug-13 4
Year 2 11-Aug-13 12-Aug-12 02-Feb-13 13-Feb-13 11
Year 3 11-Aug-12 12-Aug-11 06-Apr-12 09-Apr-12 3
Year 4 11-Aug-11 12-Aug-10 12-Aug-10 29-Jan-11 170
Year 5 11-Aug-10 12-Aug-09 15-Aug-09 05-Sep-09 21
13-Feb-10 03-Mar-10 18
25-Jul-10 11-Aug-10 17
I was away from teh UK from 25-Jul-10 to 29-Jan-2011 whcih account for 187 days. To counter that, i have divided these days into 2 consecutive years period(yr 4 and yr 5) and thus teh reason for a specific date of application. My doubt is whether this a valid scenario?
--What is the total number of absent days permitted across 5 years.
-- Settlement ops team email id to confirm this scenario.
I would appreciate a prompt response from senior members of this forum.
Thanks
Mayank

No email anymore, absences should be less than 180 days per 12 month period, splitting dates is acceptable.

Many thanks for your reply Amber. I have one more query.
For english requirement, my wife has got a certificate from ESOL skills for life-L3 for speaking and lilstening only. The certificate does not say reading and writing. Will that suffice for the english requirement?
Thanks

Hi Amber,
Many thanks for your reply.
I have a small doubt about the continous period, Is there a rule which says that the continous absense should not exceed 90 days in one go in addition to 180 days in total for 12 months?
Thanks
Mayank
