UK RESIDENT Want to marry in India

Hello forum. Please guide me as i am very confused like everyone who posts on this forum

I am a Britsh national. I have been divorced a year and a half ago.
I have met a girl in India and we have exchanged lot of texts and chats over the few months and now I wish to marry her. My family is in india.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to do/get to marry her in india? Is it true that I need to get some sort of no objection certificate from the UK to show it to the court in India to marry or a relationship here in the UK (marriage/divorce) doesn’t apply in India?
