Hi there, need help with another query.
I sent an email to long term residence section and asked about my registration category which i held for two years and then switched to general registration. Throughout the time I had stamp 1 and was employed by hse. Below is their reply;
"In order to qualify for Long term Residency as a non-EEA doctor, you must
have 60 months reckonable residence in the State as a doctor in the General
Division. These conditions are reflected in the Stamp1 or Stamp4
endorsements on your passport and not by the dates of commencement and
expiry of each work/work authorisation/working visa.
It is understood that doctors may move from the General Division to the
Trainee Specialist Division and or Specialist Division. In such cases, the
onus is on the applicant to provide certification from the Irish Medical
Council to confirm that you have the requisite 60 months reckonable
residency. Time spent solely within the Trainee Specialist Division is not
calculated for Long Term Residency."
Does anyone know if this could be generalised to naturalisation application as well?
If there are non-EEA doctors onboard here, can you let me know what type of letter do they need from the medical council for naturalisation?
Will appreciate you guys help.
