Do they call if there is a denied payment or do they send a letter? Reason i am enquiring is because its been two weeks and they have not taken any payment from my account. Would appreciate if you can share your experience.

I am a contracted worker at the same time registered self employed managing my small business. as far as i am concern I submitted all the necessary documents and i sent all original paperworks.

You didn't mention how you meet the language requirement. After October you need to proof you meet the language requirement at least Esol entry level 3 and also Life in the Uk test pass certificate.

Hi, I passed my Life in the UK test around December 2012, I got my ILR June 2013

Oh no but I thought it is only for applicants from August 2013 onwards. and all of those who got there ILR and passed the Life in the UK test are exempt if they got it beforehand

I had written to KnowledgeOfLifePolicyQueries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk prior to my application. Following is the excerpt from the conversation.
My Query

For English language criteria, I have provided the following documents at the time of applying for all of the above mentioned applications.

• Original Bachelor's degree certificate. Course duration was 3 years.
• Letter from university stating the degree was taught in English Language.
• Printout from Point based calculator. My university and the degree is listed as one of the options in Points based calculator.

My question to you is, will the above mentioned documents be sufficient enough for proving my knowledge of English language or will I be required to get a NARIC certificate for my course or optionally take an ESOL exam?

Their Response

For a citizenship application we will accept all of the documents listed in you below e mail as evidence of the English language element of the KOLL requirement. Please note that the print out from the online points calculator must show that the degree is comparable to a UK degree and was taught in English. When using the calculator to obtain UK NARIC confirmation of a qualification, it must be accessed as a Tier 1 (General) applicant. This will ensure that points for the degree and additional points for English language are printed.

They did debit my account on the acknowledgement letter date and they do confirm receipt of payments in the acknowledgement letter.
