Query on Passport

My passport expires on 2 Nov 2014 and I would like to travel outside the UK from 27th Oct to 1st Nov 2014. Am I eligible to come back to the UK on 1st Nov?

Why risk it? What if your flight back is delayed?

Eligible to enter but when you go for passport renewal , it should be fine if it is valid passport rather than expired passport.
I would suggest, you may renewal your passport before going out of UK.
