ILR Dependant Visa

Post by skumar123a » Fri Jul 25, 2014 2:24 pm

Hi

My son is born in the UK in November last year.
he is in India now.
My wife has recently joined me.
Me and my wife are going for an ILR in August this year.
If I want to bring my kid (After August) I believe I have to apply for ILR dependant visa for my Kid.

1. I have seen the requirements for ILR dependant visa.
Is it mandatory to show the financial requirement for child visa, as I have read that financial requirement is not required for ILR child dependant visa.

2. Also once my Kid is here in December (assume he gets his ILR Dependant visa in December), can I straight away apply for his Naturalisation

3. If we leave our kids visa status on ILR for sometime (say 2 years) and later can i apply for his Naturalisation (say 2016 december)

Thanks
Satya

Once you have ILR, register your child as British on form MN1 under section 1(3) BNA. This can be done when the child is abroad.

Hi Amber

Thank you so much for the reply.

I thought Citizen Ship can only be applied while in the UK.

Is it not true then?

Thanks

Amber is correct because child was born in the UK.

Thanks so much

So I have to register my sons CitizenShip and apply for his passport in UK though he is not here.

Then I have to take his passport with and then bring him with me. I hope this is right. Will there be any problem when we come back as his passport will be used only when we come back and not when we are going out of country,

Yes that's right, shouldn't be a problem.
