Amber, HO states:
Fixed Penalty Notices (such as speeding or parking tickets) do not form part of a person’s criminal record and will not be considered in the caseworker’s assessment of character unless:
• the person has failed to pay and there were criminal proceedings as a result; or
• the person has received numerous fixed penalty notices.
As you say PCNs are FPNs, then I take it that I need to declare them.
I am going to apply for Naturalisation in Sep this year...I was issued two PCNs(April 2014 for driving in Bus Lane and got another PCN in Jun 2014 for parking) I paid both the Charges on time!
HO state " We would not normally take Fixed Penalty Notices into account, unless you have had more than one fixed penalty notice in the last 12 months. In that case, you may wish to wait to make your application until you have no more than one fixed penalty notice in the 12 month period before applying".
I am still not clear.
Thanks
