Spouse Visa being made redundant

Post by Penny_78 » Thu Jul 31, 2014 9:46 pm

Hi

I am due to get married in October and was going to apply for a spouse visa early November, but i have today been advised that i will be made redundant at the end of December. Is this going to cause me problems? At the time of application i will be employed (and exceed the financial requirement) but part way through i will have lost my job. Should i wait and make an application once i have found a new job?

Any advice?

I think you'll have to as your present employer will be unable to provide the required letter confirming your earnings and permanent employment.
