I am due for indefinite leave by December. Unfortunately i rented a van and a friend of mine used it to carry heavy load which was over weight. I was charged to court for 'permitting the use of motor vehicle over the wight limit'. I pleaded guilty and a fine was given to me. There is no point on my licence. My question is: Will my ILR be refused as a result of this court fine? My family is devastated because we have suffered so much but patiently waiting to get the ILR by December. Please we need your candid advise. Thanks

Insofar as it is not recorded on your criminal record, you should be ok, a conviction needs declaring.

Thanks Amber for your quick response. Ho do I know it is not recorded as a criminal record on my file? I will surely declare it on my application form.

Hi Everyone, please i need your help regarding when am due for indefinite leave to remain because i was caught using my wife student oyster card on 5/06/2014 and i need to appear in magistrate court on 25/09/2014. Literally, i would complete my 6 years discretionary leave to remain on 18/09/2015 but my discretionary leave to remain will expire on 30/06/2016. I want to know whether ticket/fare evasion would not affect me if i apply for permanent residence on 19/09/2015. Please do i need to wait for 2 years before i can apply for permanent residence in UK. Please do i need to apply for extension on my discretionary leave to remain in June 2016 before i can apply for indefinite leave to remain because ticket/fare evasion will elapse on 25/09/2016. Please help me....................
Note:
First DLR : 18/09/2009 - 17/09/2012
Second DLR: 26/06/2013 - 25/06/2016
ILR due on 19/09/2015

See if it's recorded in the PNC, if not, you should be ok.

I'd wait 28 days after the outcome.

Hello everyone. I have applied for the PNC to check if my overloading fine was recorded but lo and behold it was not recorded. They just sent me a letter that nothing is recorded against me. I will share with you guys my experience after the ILR application in December. Thanks to all those that advised me. cheers
