Family visitor visa or General Visitor visa?

Post by gpranna » Sun Mar 09, 2014 10:57 pm

Hi,
I am planning to bring my parents in law to support my expecting wife for 4-5 months. We are in Tier 2 ICT visa for the last 3 years.
I (not my wife as she is not working currently) would like to sponspor my in laws for their complete visit. Now, I want to check if I can ask them to apply using Family Visitor visa or General visitor visa?..(as I see somewhere in the UKBA site saying the sponsor should be 'settled' in the UK...)..Not sure if Tier 2 ICT can be called as Settled or if Tier 2 guys can infact sponsor people for family visa.

If family visitor visa is not the right one, will applying in General visitor visa be any less probable to get a visa for them.?.
Can you please advice.?

Many Thanks..

Hello everyone......

I have a slight different question to ask.... My Uncle is sponsoring my mum and dad for a family visit as he is a british citizen. I am currently on Tier-1 entrepreneur visa. My uncle is sponsoring the whole visit and will arrange accommodation in his house. In the application form, there is one section which asks for any other family memebers/relatives in UK. We have got many family members in UK.My quesiton is do my parents have to declare all the members including me as their son even i am not sponsoring their visit? Does it make any impact on application?
