Spouse of BC, when to apply for Citizenship?

Post by RoyW » Thu Aug 07, 2014 3:37 pm

Came legally to UK at the end of May 2011, received my ILR in January 2014.
When can i apply for Citizenship?
It states for receiving citizenship i have to be here 3 years legally,so can I send my application now in 2014 or do i have to wait until January 2015 (12 months since I received my ILR)?
In other words - the requirement to apply for British Citizenship as a spouse of one has to be 3 years in the country legally or also I can apply only after 12 moths of possessing ILR card?

Assuming you meet all the standard requirements, you can apply now.
