Is this gonna be for fresh application or appeal?
Tbh,I don't know if someone can claim self employment for just a month because you'll need to show accountant stuffs and your tax return.
If this is for a new application, I think with what you've stated,it will be better to apply under cat B.
As you stated it's a salaried job, then the 1481 would have ruined applying under cat A salaried employment, you need to get 1550 @ least to pass that test.
Secondly, if you gonna apply under cat B and thinking of adding the 2600,you need to ask yourself this questions, can we provide payslips for the income?did the amount get into your account? Why was he paid without tax being deducted, was it cash by hand and can he get letter to proof he got paid for the job?he might need to find out from the tax office if he can pay tax on that,I don't really know, but you need to know how to answer all these with documents to proof.
On the other hand, you can just forget all that if you're planning to reapply and just start from April,May,June,July,August, september and by ending you can apply, provided your sponsor is still working and the salary isn't below 1550.
I think the appeal might work with cat A if you can proof the employer he worked with, with payslip and the money in your account in that month.
