Tier 2 - Time limit

Post by lipiden » Tue Aug 12, 2014 11:29 am

Hello Folks,
I am in UK since 2004 but on Tier 2 since October 2009.
Hence, i have decided to apply for ILR this October under 5 years route. (so that my wife can apply with me).
However, I have few doubts, hope some one could answer:
Since Tier 2 form 2009, I have fell out with my employer and resigned job with support from another potential employer.
I have resigned on 31st July 2011. The new employer would straight away accept me but we realised that he did not have CoS.
Hence, he has applied for CoS straight away and got approved on 26th September. I have applied Tier 2 fresh under new CoS.
Which I got it successfully on 13th December 2011.
I have already planned vacation on December 2011 christmas and started my new role in 1st Feb 2012. ( I was only away for 4 weeks hence thats not an issue)

The doubt is, When my employer write to UKBA in support of my ILR, they going to specify my start date as 1st Feb 2012.
Am I under problem because I did not have job since 1st August 2011, but applied for Tier 2visa in September 2011.
Thanks,

Just to assist with my above query, when I resigned from my previous sponsor 31st July 2011, I had my Tier 2 visa up until 28th October 2012.
