Just complete the application, the child doesn't need to be in the UK.

Thank you Amber,
Can I apply for a entry clearance ( as visitor) for her while MN1 is still in process. Because entry clearance quicker takes 2-3 weeks and my husband needs a visitor visa to travel with her because she is just under 2 years.
At the moment I am pregnant and due in 2 months so I am bit impatient.

Hope it makes sense,,, Please give me your opinions.
Thanks

Yes, only one of the parent should have ILR or citizenship.

You can't have a visit visa if you're intending to settle.

Thank you Amber,

Do you think it is better to register her while she is outside the UK?

Hello,

I have a similar situation. I am ILR but my daughter is in Nepal. She was born here but had to travel there urgently. Now I have already applied for her British citizenship and waiting for decision(applied on 28th of April).

My question is how do I enable her to get here? shall I apply for her visitor visa (with Nepali passport) to make entry clearance? or make a travel document(if she get the british citizenship) from British Embassy in Kathmandu? I am going there in end of September so any reply will be any help for me please.

Thank you

Hi wonderheart,

I have posted questions on another topic regarding what type of visa do I need to apply and waiting for reply there.

in the mean time I sent an enquiry to UKVI through their web site and got reply today. They simply told me to apply for tourist visa to enable her entry. I am not sure if I should trust it and attach the email printout with the visa application.

thanks
