Tier2 and ILR

Post by cricket79 » Thu Aug 21, 2014 8:13 pm

Dear members
I need some guidance. I was issued Tier 2 G on 5th january 2010 in my home country and I entered UK on 20th February 2010. For some reasons my job job did not start until 20th May 2010 but since then I have been continuously working. Given the 90 days concession I would be eligible for ILR on 10th December 2014 (5 year lawful stay). Between 20th February and 20th May 2010 I was not economically active though I was legally staying on Tier 2 G (work did not start).
When can I apply for ILR? December 2014 or May 2015.
I would be grateful for being guided.

Cheers

Thanks very much Amber. Sorry to be too inquisitive, do you think having not worked for 3 months after entering UK whilst on Tier 2 General lawfully would not adversely affect the outcome of my ILR application in December 2014 ? Some people I have spoken to say that I wait till May 2015. I would be grateful for your reply.

AS per cricket79 "He was issued Tier 2 G on 5th january 2010 in my home country and he entered UK on 20th February 2010."

Amber, would'nt "cricket79" be eligible from 28 days before his first UK entry stamp on 20th Feb?

No as there is a 90 day concession window whereby the date of EC can be counted.
