35k salary requirement

Post by abadreddine » Wed Aug 20, 2014 9:28 pm

I ve the following questions about applying for ilr in 2017 when salary requirement is 35k:
1-if our basic salary is 32k and we get 3k bonus that's taxable will this work.
Is it enough to show this in salary slip or p60?
2-is the 35k requirements for 39 hrs work? If for ex we work 37.5 hrs then is it enough to have our salary 33.5k

Thanks for the reply
But I think u missunderstood my 2nd question. I meant that:
is the 35k requirement per 39 hrs work sothat if work for ex 37.5hrs the requiremwnt will be less then 35k ??

Please check your Cos that should mention the number of hours and your yearly salary. Also 35K (including bonus+ pay) will be fine. You would need to get a letter from employer mentioning your Cos and stating your yearly salary at that time. So ensure that it is 35K in letter (mentioning basic+bonus)

Hope this helps.

For your second question, i dont think that salary would be prorated if number of hours are less than 39.

What if we don't hit the 35k requirement after 5 years on tier 2 (3 years +2 extention) ? can we still apply for another tier 2 extention ??

Hi,

I read my friend's employer letter and that might give you some guidance.
He works on 35 weeks per hour so his company pro-rated his salary to calculate equivalent 39 hours rate and mentioned it on the letter.
He works for largest professional services firm in the world with a dedicated immigration department so presume that they did the right thing.
