Hi guyz,

I am currently on the HSMP scheme. my visa extension is after 1.5 years. i have got a contract role for 9 months.

I am told that for contract jobs, i have to register myself with a umbrealla company. i am also told that i can claim for house and travel allowance while doing contract jobs. is this true

i would like to know if i claim for travel and house allowance, would it cause any prob for my visa extension. some ppl say that the allowance would be taken out of the gross pay, and the gross pay would be less on the paystubs

ex. the gross per month is £ 2000 (take hme after tax would be £ 1400)
u claim for benefits (house and travel allowance) - £ 200

then will the gross on the paystubs be £ 1800 (and take hme would be £ 1600) or will it still show £ 2000 on the paystubs (and take hme would be £ 1600 still)
