Quick Question:

I have a CCJ that was issued to me in 09/2009 about a parking ticket and just detected that about 8 months ago when I wanted to send my application in. I was told by the council agent that I should try and get that paid or settled. Even though I was not the one driving the car at that time, I was the registered keeper of the car thus why my name was on the CCJ. I have called the court Northampton CCBC to enquire further and was told to contact the company that issued the PCN. I got in touch with the company and was told that the parking company does not exist anymore and they could only find the car registration number and nothing more so they are unable to take payments. It was £164 for the CCJ. Since the court and the defunct parking company are unable to take payments and I am in the middle of this mess, the Council agent called the home office and enquire more about and she asked me to send it and put note about it. I have also contacted the court again and was told to write to mcol@hmtcs.gsi.gov.uk to put the file before a district judge. Even though it will be 6 years next year to be written off, I am a little bit worried LOL. Does any one have any experience about this kind of issues or something close. Advice welcome.

Cheers

hello everyone,

Am new to this site but i would like to share my experience if anyone can be a bit of help!

i apply for nationalization back in 2011 but i was refused because of my conviction as i was given a community service which fall on the ground of (non-custodian offence) and the letter send to me say i should re-apply by 28/July/2014 during that time it was 5 years "Rehabilitation act 1974" but law change in 2013. i manage to wait till 5 years for my conviction to become spent, now i have applied for nationalization again through NCS on the 07/08/2014, i received acknowledgement dated 15/08/2014.

Can anyone help me what will be the decision as i am really scare?

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

cheers.

I did not have UKNARIC certificate. All they asked me was to get Points based calculator final pdf showing UK English assessment. It will contain some 7 pages to show your each section qualification in the PBS assessment. NCS checked with UKBA directly and confirmed this is sufficient. They were kind enough to give time for me to get it and then finished the application process.

So better book early for that days appointment. Good Luck

Dashboard Update

Note:
Please note that the expected date calculation in the following dashboard is estimated and indicative based on average number of workdays to get approval from the various postings in this forum specially May 14 timeline. These dates purely estimated and calculated based on average 65 work days and these dates has nothing to do with actual processing time.
There are numerous cases where people have got approvals much early or even very late in the past. Therefore, please do not consider these date as definitive or firm or any official figures.

Thanks for the update.

Now I applied via NCS on 20-Aug and the package was delivered the next day. But I haven't had my credit card charged.
I see two people already been charged and have applied after me. Should I be worried?

Hi everyone

A LETTER TODAY FROM HOME OFFICE SAYING THAT MY FEE PAYMENT BEEN DECLINED BY MY CREDIT CARD AND SENT ME ANOTHER FORM TO FILL OUT AND RETURN TO THEM.

I PHONED THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND THEY SAID REASON FOR DECLINE WAS THAT "THE HOME OFFICE STAFF HAS KEYED THE WRONG EXPIRY DATE OF MY CARD AND ITS BEEN DECLINED" AS I LOOKED AT THE COPIES OF FORM WHICH I SENT AND ALL MINUTES WERE CORRECT!!!!

I AM WONDERING IS THERE ANY PERSON THAT I COULD TALK AND SEE WHICH STAFF MAKE SUCH A WASTEFUL AND PATHETIC JOB WHICH INCURRED IN SO MUCH WASTE OF TIME!!!

TAHNKS.

Eligibility criteria: 5 years Tier 1 + 12 months ILR
Language criteria met: Original degree + Points calc printout confirming bachelors degree + English req
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Hackney
Date of application: 27/08/2014
Payment method: Debit card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 29/08/2014 (Royal mail)
Date of acknowledgment: TBA
Date of debit or clearance of fees: TBA
Date approval received: TBA
Date of ceremony: TBA

The nice lady helping me out at the NCS informed me that due to the ongoing passport backlog at the UKBA this summer, they have now moved most of the staff who used to process Naturalisation applications to help out with the passport backlog.

Therefore, she said I should expect it will definitely take the full 6 months to process this application even though it is straightforward because they have much less staff working on these applications now than they did earlier in the year. So don't worry if you don't get it sorted out in 3 months guys :?
