Tier 2 circumstances if companies name and ownership changes

Post by drdevil47 » Wed Aug 27, 2014 2:56 pm

Hiya, the name of my company I work for is changed but all employees and work we do is same. My employers are in touch with UKBA to change the company name. I was thinking if the the company has to re-apply for new name with all the documents, will it affect my VISA or do I have to make a fresh application for my visa. It will be a big problem for me if that will happen because I came to Tier 2 under PSW ? Please help.

Name change will not affect anything.
Ownership change will require the new owners to get a licence if they do not already have one. You will either remain under your cureent licence.and nothing changes or be transfered to to the new licence. You will not need to apply for a new visa.

Your personal position will not change as you are protected by TUPE if the ownership has changed.

Your Sponsor has 28 days to inform UKVI about an ownership change.
