Extension of UK Tier2 Dependent Visa

Hi,
I have a query regarding visa extension. My husband is working in the UK since March 2012 and he is under Tier 2 genera l visa. His visa is going to expire on Feb 2 2015 and so as mine as I am under Tier 2 dependent visa. I am pregnant and I have come to India for the delivery and will return back only by the end of March 2015. My husband will be extending his visa within the UK. My concern is whether I can extend my visa from India before the current visa expires? If possible, what is the procedure for the extension of UK Tier 2 Dependent visa outside UK? Kindly reply.

You can apply for extension once your husband's gets his extension done. You may have to submit copy of his new BRP when you apply for your extension

the documents to be submitted will be given when you apply online.

Since you will not be applying at the same time as your husband you will have to show maintenance funds unless your husband's employer certifies maintenance for you.

1. Cover letter from your husband
2. His BRP/Passport copy
3. Utility bills from UK address (council tax, gas, water bills)
4. 3 months Bank statements covering £630 for each dependant (or) maintance letter from your partners company
5. 2 photos
6. Marriage certificate
