I was reading through the guidance on https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/switch-to-this-visa regarding Tier 2 visas.
I am a recent Legal Practice Course graduate (i.e. the last step in legal education before becoming a solicitor). My Tier 4 Visa was sponsored by the University of Law.
The question I have is whether the Tier 4 Visa given for the LPC is sufficient for a conversion. I ask this because the guidance above mentions this:
I know the LPC is none of the first three types of qualifications. However, would it be considered a 'professional graduate diploma of education'? The LPC is also known as the 'Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice'.You must have got 1 of these qualifications from your student visa if you want to switch from a Tier 4 to a Tier 2 (General) visa:
- a UK bachelors degree
- a UK masters degree
- a postgraduate certificate in education
- a professional graduate diploma of education
Would a conversion be possible?
Thanks!
