Form AN (Section 1.22) - Confusion - Pls advise

Post by everfor » Sun Sep 07, 2014 6:49 pm

I had my Masters in India and university is listed in pbs calculator. I have used my master certificate in previous Tier1 & ILR approval.

Now for Naturalisation i am submitting below doc
1) Master Degree certificate from india
2) PBS point calculator print out confirming 10 points awarded for English

But in An form section 1.22 below statement i am confused, which one is need to choose

1. I have speaking and listening qualification in English at B1 CEFR or higher, or an equivalent level qualification OR
2. I have obtained an academic qualification deemed by UK Naric to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Master's degree or PhD in the UK AND
a. UK Naric has confirmed that the qualification or taught or researched in English OR
b. the qualification was taught or researched in the UK or a majority English speaking country.

Please advise which option i need to choose either 1 or 2a?

Not a 'guru' but my gut feeling is that degree wasn't taught from UK uni so best would be to take English exam, unless UK NARIC recognises your degree as "taught in English' which in my view is different than point calculator.

But experts can tell you better.

Regards.
