Status in SMS changed from Allocated to USED , does it indicate decision has been made or caseworker just started the work on it?

Not mark as 'used' if you are rejecting withdrawing & voiding the application because the Cos hasn't been used and they can use the Cos. This is what is in casewoker guidance.

I had applied on 4th august. I received the acknowledgement the same week dated 7th August. But till now there is no further correspondence. In fact even the fees wasn't deducted as I was providing my debit card detail, and hence I had sent a bankers draft on 14th August with a covering letter mentioning my case ID and other relevant details. There is nothing I have heard from them ever since and its been 5 weeks since I had applied!

No option than to just wait.

Good luck.

they used to send approval letter and docs in the same envelope but approval date must be different than doc receiving date

my case was straight fwd as it was just extension with same employer, what I personally think all depends on caseworker how much load that guy has , like friends some get visa very quick.

if following things are ok then no need to be worried

Important things are:
SOC : job description is correct & match minimum salary cap (salary cap in SOC list is calculated based on 37.5 hrs so be careful )
Rating of sponsor (in my view)
Maintenance.

in PSW , it could involve some extra verification like degree is correct etc.

check with your sponsor , what is status of your CoS in sponsorship management system. (is it still assigned or marked as Used)
Mine status changed on 4th and Issue date is same.

Khuram545, thank you for your response. Actually I ve a UK bachelors degrees and sooner completing my Msc financial management. My Soc code is 3545 account manager with the salary of 22500, 39 hours contract. It is a very good company an uk stock market listed. My maintenance fund is certified from the company. I recently did my extension in March so nothing to worry about the past history. I am hoping for the best. Many thanks!

Tuka, please confirm with some guru , in my opinion minimum salary is defined in SOC code list in based on 37.5hrs

so if you been offered £22500 with 39hrs , then your salary for 37.5 would be

22500 *37.5 / 39 = £21634 which is lesser than SOC code.

so if your CoS is not Used yet , ask your sponsor to add note in SMS to reduce your work hours to 37.5 or increase the salary.

(please go tru the thread)

for safe side i would say if your CoS still appears as Assigned , visit sponsor and request them to add note in sponsorship management system against your CoS that your working hours are 37.5 not 39hrs.

So stressful.. Isn't it? No clear direction! Thank you very much! Let me know if something arises. I have spoken to the company & they will have a look into it.
