MN1 Advise

Post by mrjsg » Thu Sep 11, 2014 12:35 pm

Hi,

I got my ILR and wife's application is on hold due to English result verification.
Can I apply for my Kid born in UK for MN1 only based on my ILR?

Experts can tell you better but in my view ILR received you can apply for child on their own:
Children born in the UK – Section 1 (3) and 1 (3A) application
Section 1 (3)

A child born in the UK whose parents are not British citizens and were not settled in the
UK (see page 6) will have an entitlement to register when their parents become settled
in the UK or become British citizens.

Being British is a state of mind.

yes you can apply British citizenship on MN1 form for your child as long as one parent either father or mother settled.
