Hi,
My and my wife's tier visa is valid up to August 2016 but we both would be eligible for ILR in Jan 2015.I am going to apply for ILR but due to some reason (she still have to give her B1 exam) if my wife is unable to apply for ILR with me does she need to apply for FLR (M) or can she use the existing PBS visa which is valid up to August 2016?
Thanks

Hi,
She would be giving her B1 exam for KOL.
another query if anyone can help :-
If she is not able to apply for ILR before her leave expiries (not because she is not eligible but she might not clear B1 test in case) i.e. August 2016 then can she still extends her visa as PBS dependent or does she needs to switch to FLR (M).I would be apply ILR based on 5 year (Tier 1) in Jan 2015.
Also we are planning to visit India next year what if she doesn’t get her ILR.Would she be able to travel in PBS dependent visa (while I am on ILR)?
Thanks

Back on forum again.I am applying my and wife's ILR after dec 26 2014.My wife has got now Naric comparability certificate , Naric ELA
and letter from institute (that the degree was taught in English). So the question is what is the right combination for proving English level requirement of KOLL :-
1) Naric comparability certificate + Naric ELA
2) Naric comparability certificate + Naric ELA + letter from institute
3) Naric comparability certificate + letter from institute
As I read somewhere on the forum if I go with the 3rd option they still want ELA from Naric so which would be safer option -option 1(also keep in hand letter from institute and present if they ask for)?
Thanks

The ELA if it states that the degree meets C1 English is sufficient just with the degree certificate and the LIUK. However, you could have saved money by checking the PBS calculator.

ELA states that the degree was taught in English but they cannot confirm it meets c1 level and above.
Basically I have got SoC (statement of compatibility )which confirm that degree is equivalent to British bachelor degree and ELA
which confirms that degree was taught in English.
So I think Soc and ELA would be enough to prove KOLL English part ?
Ps:I tried pbc but that give 30 point for degree but
0 for English.just to avoid any risk I went for both
naric assements.
Thanks

Also Amber you said in this post :-
Re: Do Not Assess your English Level from UK NARIC
Postby Amber » Sun Mar 16, 2014 11:37 pm
That's not true, an ELA would say whether or not the degree was taught in English, that with a SoC would suffice a B1 requirement.
So according to that I take it Soc (bachelor equivalent to uk bacholre ) and ELA (degree researched in English but not equal c1 level and above) would be enough to prove B1 requirement ?
Thanks

SoC and ELA will suffice in addition to LIUK.

Thanks Amber. So if ELA stats degree is taught in English, English together with SoC is enough.
Thanks for your help.
