Help please

Hi everyone
I applied tier 2 general on 26 April 2014 and my current visa was expired 30th April 2014. I got ukba acknowledgement letter on 30th April 2014 and I done my biometric after one week.

After that I haven't get anything from ukba. I called them 2 days ago they unable to say how long they will take more..

But now is the problem is that my dad, he is in India , not felling well and I want to see him.
So can anybody tell me, can I withdraw my application ?
I need my passport and other documents because I want to go India and really want to see my dad..
Can anyone pleas advice me.. It would be really appreicated ..

I would suggest not to withdraw any application if it's not urgent. Because I think you will be counted as a overstayer if your visa is not valid. Many thanks!!
