Very weird experience!

I called HO this morning, the attendant said application is under consideration, I then called again in an hour and now the attendant said a decision has made and letter sent on 16Sep. But The letter I received today is dated 09Sep.

This shows that their systems are not updated and they utter some rubbish without realising the impact on applicants

Finally got the letter from HomeOffice advising grating of citizenship. Thank you all for the moral support and guidance during last few years of me being on this board. I have read and learnt a lot from other experience. And all the best for those are who are still waiting to hear.

Saying that it's pissing me off would be an understatement. Just heard from a friend who applied mid July and got his approval and even have applied for his passport a couple of weeks ago.
This is pure nonsense! I swear if it gets past 6 months timeline then the person picking my phone up would have his ears ringing for a couple of weeks. They will surely get a piece of my mind.

Unless a caseworker himself told you it was with them then I'd trust them, otherwise the customer services don't know anything about the application. They only know when you applied and if/when was a letter send out to you (that too if their system is updated).

My application was assigned to a caseworker in May (I received a call from the caseworker back in end may/beginning of June) and I still haven't received a decision so not sure that being assigned to a caseworker means you will get an imminent decision...

Congratulations guys, I called home office again today and the guy said let me see if there are any notes and then said its under consideration and can take few more weeks, I said I was told a couple of weeks on 29th of last month? Then he said the only notes from last month he can see is that a case worker is working on it and "progress" has definitely been made recently so at current pace not long to go probably few weeks,

Oh well hope it doesn't take long now

What questions did you ask? I called them up this afternoon and they wouldn't talk also as its not been 6 months.

Some people who applied in June and July havehad their applications processed and have evn applied for passports. Others have been waiting since April with no news whatsoever. This can only reflect the Home Office's sheer incompetence. It is indeed a department which is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE, as declared by the Home Affairs Select Committee.

@pgaitonde it just happened to be a nice person on the other end, I asked if he can give me update on my case that's when he mentioned "notes" which got me excited too but was short lived

There is not such an approval letter and invitation, its just an invitation letter and it says the decision
