Apply for the first adult British passport from abroad

Dear all

Has anyone applied for their first adult British passport from abroad? After my ceremony, I will be based in Hong Kong for a while and I wonder how long it will take me to apply for a British passport from Hong Kong.

It does take a bit longer from abroad because the applications are processed in the UK anyway, maybe about 10 weeks or so.
