Take time to read through the guidance for form SET(M)

OK, Section 11 in this link to the appllication form SET(M). You'll need to also read thoroughly the requirement for English language
Life in the UK and B1 level English test.

Then you can't send her payslips. Perhaps I should have said ' both if your wife is working.' There's no problem with just you working.

The general opinion is now that you should submit 6 months payslips and 6 months bank statements.

It is for last 6 months. If I were you I will take all the documents with me so I don't get stuck.

I've updated it to 6 months which is now the general view as preferred. It matches the number of pay slips to bank statements.

Sorry, what is the general consensus? The form states 3 months? Why would it be different?

3 months is mandatory but 6 months will enable bank statements to be matched to salary if applicable. It's up to you.
