SET (O) as PBS dependant - please verify

Hi All,

My spouse is applying for ILR on SET (O) as a PBS dependant in a week. Please could you verify the documents listed below and clarify if any other docs are required and also my queries. Thanks!

Documents-

-Filled Set O form
-Cover letter

-MY SPOUSE's:
passport & BRP
Life in the UK pass certificate
Degree certificate + PBS calculator print outs showing 30 for qualification and 10 for English
Marriage certificate
2 photos

-Mine:
Passport & BRP
bank statements -3 months ( as I'm the sponsor & my spouse is not working)

-Cohab docs for 2 yrs:
Mar 12-July 12-Tenancy agreement - joint - source 1
Jul 12-Nov 12 - tenancy agreement - joint-source 2
Nov 12-mar 13- utility bills x 1 each -individual - source 3
Mar 13-July 13 - tenancy agreement - joint - source 4
Jul 13-nov 13 - bank statements x 1each -source 5
Nov 13-feb 14 - bank statements x 1each -source 6

-Photocopies of all the above.

Now, questions I have, please clarify.

1) I'm not producing any payslips as was working until last month, not working right now. However have savings (not so huge) to manage. I also have an offer for a new job which I will have with me, in case questioned on finance. Is this ok?
2) should I include my photo? Nowhere this has been asked.
3) set O form - should the option for cohab docs be ticked in section 11A? The form asks only if spouse or partner applies along with main applicant, which is not the case here.
4) set O form - section 11S - should I select 'other' as there is no option for PBS dependant?
5) set O form - section 5-5.2: should I put down entire rent or just half it to show my partner's contribution? (He is not earning though)
6) set O form - section 5.4- should I put down a certain amount? The amount I transfer to him varies every month.
7) set O form - section 5.6- should I fill the salary and savings details here?

I'm also on your boat. Could you please share once she get ILR. And Is your ILR got based on Tier 1 General or 10 Years visa?
How did you do PBS calculator for dependant? it will ask always main applicant when we check.
My suggestion is better to check with Settlement checking services, apply through them and they are going to charge nearly £90 each application and will get back all your original once they are happy with your documents. This service is related to home office.
Why I'm telling you means, I've applied two days before naturalization for my son through Nationality checking services, checked all the documents then returned my all originals.

Hi surya,

We are applying in person on tier 2 basis. We selected my husband's degree in PBS calculator (for tier 1) which will give points for both qualification & English. If you select tier 2 in the calculator, it wouldn't take you to the points for qualification (30 points).

So, for my question # 6, I understand that I need not enter a certain amount. Shall I leave it blank or just enter an approximate amount?

I saw your thread and post related to SET(O) dependent ILR application, I am kinda in the same situation and confuse of which form to use (Set(O) or Set(M)). I am on Work Permit (Originally) and received ILR in Sept 2012, my wife was FLR (M) when I received ILR. Please could you share your experiences and perhaps answer my confusion below?

1. Are you settled (ILR) when your spouse applied ILR?
2. Did your spouse completed the 2 years as spouse before ILR?
3. My wife doesn't work (House Wife) and in Section 5 regarding SOC, Finance, Pay slip, employer letter etc, shall I filled in my details or leave it blank?
4. Supporting Documents (Bank Statement) - we both have a bit of savings, did you also show your statement if I understood correctly your spouse is not working.
5. I understand Work Permit holder dependent does not required Part 9.
6. Do you provide your employment letter and finance info for your spouse ILR application?
7. How's the booking of PEO Sheffield, many slots available?

It was a mistake which our agent did not realised and she didn't took life in UK test, otherwise she could get It same time as me.

Now I am confused which forms to use as both forms contradict each other, I feel SET MY is more relevant and I do not want to be rejected because of wrong form. I've seen PBS dependent success using SET O and therefore I confused.

1) In Section 11 , i am planning to select 11 S. Please suggest if this is not correct option.

2) Do we need to fill absence section for dependents?

3) Is any self covering letter we need to explain why all documents are not submitted together, I am sure to me cost advantage is valid but not sure UKBA convince with this reason.

4) If any one has successfully applied in the past, please share your experience.

which one to choose - workpermit holder dependant or PBS dependent. But for either selection, there are no documents required. Should I need to fill up all my details when applying for my dependent? I have ILR and I quit my job and started contracting! how to manage in this case. Please advise.

Hello Members,

I recently got ILR on Tier 1 (G) but now my wife applying(ILR) separately as she has been my Tier 1(g) dependent for the last 5 years or so.

I am under the impression that I need to use Set O form but I am really getting confused what to fill in the form as it is mainly designed for the main applicant.

I got few questions and hopefully somebody can guide me through.

1.Do I need to fill her details in section 1 on the form ?
2.What shall I enter in section 2 ?
3.what shall i choose in section 3 ? PBS dependent under section B ??
4.What Shall I put under section 5 , 5.4: 5.4 Does a relative or friend of you or your partner, or both of you, regularly give you money? I give her money but shall tick that box ?

5.I don't need to fill section 9 ?

6. Do I need to put my details on form? if yes then where as I already got ILR.
