tier 4 student stopped at airport

Post by talkhome » Thu Sep 25, 2014 10:03 pm

Dear all,

I was comming back from my home country to uk.
Custom officer stopped me and asked how many cigrate I have. I told that I have 400 cigrates. He said ur only allowed 200 cigrates. He issued me verbal warning. He never gave me any proof of warning issued.

I ask him if it is a criminal offence. He said no but I must not do that again.

I am going to make application on 10 year long residency basis after some time.

Will this warning affect my application for long residency? Although no warning letter was given. He took my passport and scanned somewhere.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
