English language requirements for partners.

I am a British citizen.My wife has passed the required level(A1) for her spouse visa.The result can be viewed on line using her password and ID,but the hard copy is going to take at least 4-8 weeks. Can she apply for the visa right now or should wait for the original certificate to arrive.The home office document in this regard says that no document is required and the result can be verified using her name and pass port number.

Hello Everybody,

I am posting this on behalf of my friend who has ILR and got married recently, his wife is from India and holds a Degree taught in English(B. Tech.) The english language requirement in the guidance form for VAF4A says that the spouse should be qualified via one of the approved English tests or should have a Degree taught in English.

Is it sufficient to prove English language requirement using the printout from PBS calculator ?
