issues in EC for unmarried female

Hi
I 'm planning to apply for EC ( my HSMP has been approved) but i do not have any accommodation sponsorship. Also i do not have any friends or relatives in UK & i'm unmarried female.
is that a prob for EC?
Pls help me with ur experiences.

It iwll not be a problem if U could show evidence that U could maintain and accomodate yourselves without reciurse of public fund. Reasonable number in bank a/c will do.

i have another query.
before applying for EC do i need to get hostel/hotel booked to show that i have planned for my accommodation? if yes, for how long?

yes, u will need to get a hostel/hotel booked. I guess 3 months is reasonable, this is just my guess

Hi SSCG,

First you need not worry abt any accomodation sponsorship.

You can book a hotel tentatively based on your EC application date & once you book it you wil get an Email confirmation, which you can use as proof of your accomodation.

Also for booking the hotel, you just need to give your Credit card details which wont be charged till you reach the hotel, by this you can cancel the booking once you are done with your EC.

i found a site called activereservations.com where, as u have mentioned, i can book a hotel & actual amount would be deduced from the credit card only on the check-in date.
for what duration shall i book the hotel?
