Council Tax Issue

Post by North Pole » Mon Sep 22, 2014 10:37 am

Dear members,

I hope someone can help please

In my old address during 2012 I had some council tax arrears and I got court summons and a liability order issued to me. Once I came to know thoroug bailiffs I paid them full amount immediately including court costs and fines.

I've moved house since then and all my CT bills are upto date with no arrears at my new address. I'm really worried whether this could case an issue for ILR. And my company is extending my tier 2 g visa next month. Wondering Should I declare this as civil penalty section in the application form??

Kindly advise

Many thanks

No, a liability order is not a CCJ nor criminal conviction.

Many thanks amber. I'm too thinking same not to declare unnecessary things. I've checked my credit report as well and I don't have any ccj or civil penalty either. I guess I should be ok by not declaring the council issue, as it all sorted already. Thanks again.
