Will the DV 2009 be cancelled?

What are peoples thoughts on the DV 2009 being cancelled following on recent meetings on immigration reform. Will this mean that future lotteries after DV 2008 are in jeopardy

There's always a possibility

for the time being, according to the State Department website DV2009 is going ahead.

I don't foresee a situation where people are notified of winning and then subsequently being told the lottery will be scrapped, but again, its always a possibility.
