My husband was granted discretionary leave to remain for 3 yrs in July 2011 we have applied for a spouse visa and sent forms docs etc on 4th Aug this year money was taken on 6th Aug and biometrics done the next week how long will it take to get his visa and passport back as we are going to New Zealand to see his family on 2/11/2014 getting worried now as it's been 6 weeks since we applied

Was under the impression on the web site 8 weeks but still worried

i fink you have applied for the wrong visa, as your husband got the 3yrs in 2011 he was just meant to extend it again under flr o for another 3yrs, fingers crossed but expect the worse

I applied again on flr(0) under other category how long does this take after biometrics are done as the website says 8 weeks

yes it shuld take about 8weeks if everything is straight like no offence or police case and you submitted enough proof that you guys are living together still...u can start calling them if you havent heard from them in 8weeks.

Just telephoned this morning as it is 8 weeks since we applied and was told it hadn't been processed yet, so we only have a window of 4 weeks for it to arrive , would I be better getting the docs back and going to a premium centre to get it done or would I lose my fee already paid advice on this would be greatly appreciated

If you withdraw the application , you forfeit your money, and he will lose his lawful residence and become an overstayer.

Passport came back yesterday and biometrics card to follow so glad it's here took 8 weeks and 3 days
