Post by c4551m » Tue Sep 09, 2014 9:23 pm

Hi All ,

This question might be asked few time but I can't find it , so kindly help me in my query.
here is short back ground ,Received ILR in July on 10 years basis, wife FLR fp still in progress, applied Sons Naturalization through NCS in August ( Born in UK ), currently working full time (37.5 hrs) but this is temporary position. my questions are

What if I apply for any benefits will it affect my British Citizenship application as I am going to apply in July 2015 ?
As my job hours will be reduced to 16 hours , what benefits can I claim ?
Can i get child tax credit, Housing benefit untill I get full time job ?
Do I need to show my Mrs status as well, as Her application is with HO ?

Thanks for your time.

Varied application to SET LR 3.3.14
Biometrics done 24.3.14
Approval 24.7.14

Child benefit in your names, tax credits in joint names?

You'll see that Amber has this request at the bottom of her posts;
Do NOT PM me for immigration advice.
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Yes you can apply for all benefits if you have ILR .it will not effect on MN1 Application. You are eligible for CB,HB,TAX CREDITS etc.
even if your wife is under immigration control, still you can apply.but you have to mention about her visa status in joint application.do not delay and apply ASAP.
Dont worry.
