I received the first update on my app it says your "visa application has been accepted, but is still being processed at this moment. "
So does that mean I am in line with the rest of the apps to be processed?

I paid for the sms service but unfortunately recieved nothing:/ sms service is useless.
I used the UK VISAS INTERNATIONAL ENQUIRY SERVICE. They will get back to you in 1 working day. I submitted my app at Islamabad. I think you have to chase them up because they wont give you updates themselves.

I used the UK VISAS INTERNATIONAL ENQUIRY SERVICE. They will get back to you in 1 working day. I submitted my app at Islamabad. I think you have to chase them up because they wont give you updates themselves.

I did contacted the international enquiry service almost 3 times so far now. First time after 30 days and second time after 50 days and both time they replied back saying

"We understand that you would like to know about the current status of yourvisa application. I have tracked the status (GWF no. and date of birth) and found that there are no current updates. This could bebecause your application was submitted recently or the details that youhave provided above are incorrect. If it is the former you may contact us at a later stage once our recordshave been updated. We will be happy to give you the current status of yourapplication. If the information provided is incorrect then please providethe 9-digit GWF number and the date of birth of the applicant.Alternatively, once the process has been completed and a decision has beenmade the visa application centre will be in contact as per process."

But yesterday there reply was a little different

"Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International EnquiryService. You may be aware that from July 2013 a large number of settlement visaapplications were placed on hold during a legal challenge against the UKfamily migrations rules. Since this court judgement was handed down on11 July 2014, the UK Visasand Immigration team in Islamabad has started to process these applicationsin date order. We now have an article on our website that we can refer to (https://www.gov.uk/government/world-loc ... ment-visas). Our Customer Service Standard (CSS) for processing settlement applications,as of 01 August 2014, is to conclude all settlement applications within 60working days. Unfortunately while we clear the older cases affected by thelegal challenge customers may wait longer than usual for a decision. Toensure a fair system for applicants, all visa applications are assessedwith an attempt to process them as quickly as possible. We apologise forany inconvenience caused by this delay."

Sometimes I get this feeling if Gerry's have even forwarded my app to the BHC or not. I hope they did.

I would ring gerrys and tell them to check on the status of your application. Tbh you really dont know what to believe one min they'll say one thing and then the next they'll say something completely different. But dont give up keep trying to track your app because you might get a different reply soon. Inshallah you will get your visa soon. I'll pray for you. Just keep faith in Allah and have patience.

Walikum salam fawad. I submitted my app on 31st of July and biometrics were done the same day. I did not get their sms service as no one told me abt it. So haven't received any update from gerry's. I sent few mails and got reply which I've posted here earlier. I applied from islamabad.

where these 4000 cases came from? i believe not all 4000 cases are from Pak but these are total no of settlement cases on hold all over the world , thats what i heard before too. Anyhow , my logic says if there are large no of apps in Pak then it will affect all cities as apps are eventually travelling to bhc for processing !

Read below the update on their website. This refer to all the cases are getting processed in islamabad I guess.

https://www.gov.uk/government/world-loc ... ment-visas

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) team in Islamabad has started to process the backlog of settlement visa applications in date order.Customers may be aware that a large number of settlement applications were placed on hold following a legal challenge in the UK courts. Since the conclusion of this case on 11 July 2014, the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) team in Islamabad has started to process these applications in date order. Our Customer Service Standard for processing new settlement visa applications, as of September 2014, is currently 60 working days. Unfortunately, whilst we clear the backlog of cases which were put on hold as a result of this court case, customers making new applications for settlement visas may have to wait several additional months. We apologise for any inconvenience caused whilst this backlog is cleared

I agree to that but it didnt show that all those 4000 cases pending decision were from Pak alone.

Salam,
My wife also submitted her application on 15 Sep 2014,through international inquiry service she got the message " We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status (GWF... date of birth) your application is in progress and will be contacted once a
decision has been made.

Your visa application centre or the entry clearance officer will contact
you once a decision has been made or, if necessary, during the
consideration of your application."
Its funny different people getting different responses through international inquiry service.Good luck to every one waiting for their visas.

Salam,
You shouldnt be too worried.Jerryes is a responsible courier service and that would have definitely passed on your application to BHC.
No need to be worried about this update you got.In many cases they wouldnt be able to tell you about the status of your application only using the GWF number.I am sure if you provide them with the details they requested you will hear about the status of application. The rule is"stay patient".
Good luck

We will aim to come back to you within 1 day.
Salam,
You shouldnt be too worried.Jerryes is a responsible courier service and that would have definitely passed on your application to BHC.
No need to be worried about this update you got.In many cases they wouldnt be able to tell you about the status of your application only using the GWF number.I am sure if you provide them with the details they requested you will hear about the status of application. The rule is"stay patient".
Good luck
I hop so I submitted my app on 31st july. People submitted after me hav received updates thts why I m worried. I hv sent them the required info. Hop they could track it down.
There is no need to worry, just provide them with the information then you will receive the same email as the person you are referring too. Unless their email says "a decision has been made on your application" updates are pointless.
May Allah swt make it easy for us all
