@ evajohnson did you get a second stage letter from inis after you applied and are you using a solicitor?

Eva, my personal advice as you have to be very convincing in the letter to pass through, is actually to pay a copy writer (usually a 2 cent per word) who is well able to write very nice essay about the situation and then post it to them.. the situation is delicate and does not worth gambling on it.. so up to 50 euro cost would totally worth it at the end of the day.. you basically sit with the copy writer, tell them the situation and excuse in plain english, and they write it back in professional manner and with a twist to make it feel genuine and appealing

Rang citizenship partnership today and the lady told next citizenship ceremony is in January but date not confirm yet. It unfair for inis to collect peoples money for naturalisation certificate in August 2014 and they have to wait for 5 months to get their certificates. Christmas os a time when people travel to celebrate with love ones but we are grounded because without GNIB it is risky.. Does inis really care?

No December ceremony??? Oh No...

I was sure thy will have a Dec ceremony before Christmas. This will really be a hazard to wait until Jan...

I dont think travelling w/o GNIB is risky. On the safer side keep the approal letter and a garda certified copy of your Gnib with you if you are travelling.

thats surprising, yet annoying news! only justification (and I might be wrong) that the number of applications is less than 3000 for the ceremony hence they are topping up the number?

to me it seems the process is exceptionaly slow now.... I am not sure what they are checking now a days... addtional checks or something else..... sent the required documents last month... talked over the phone last week ... they said they received it and now processing it further.... Not sure what is happening now.... even if there are less applications they can still send the letters stating if the application where in the process are we (second phase or thrid phase....).... best of luck to all the applicants....
any body else got any updates.....

I dont think the process is any slower..We just need to calm...I applied in Feb 14....its already more than 6 months..but thats the way it works..only few lucky ones got in 2-3 months...and a lot more in 4-5 months time frame...Minister has a lot more to do...not only to decide on our applications... If they have Jan in mind for the ceremony then they wont be speeding the process as well..Once they send the approvals..we all will be getting impatient for ceremony...so stay calm and positive guys...approvals hopefully this week...I am travelling next week so hope to get the letter this week..

it seem we got a long wait since there is rumours next citizenship ceremony is in Janaury 2015.keep calm. i am frustrated after having approve in july and paid the fee for certification,i have to wait for five months to get just a certificate. it took three months to get my approval and strange i will wait longer to get the certificate. it is a crazy. they shd send the certificate in the post.no way to travel out of the country.

I was asked for the reasons for committing parking offences, social welfare dates of claiming since i arrived to the country and if I am unemployed to send a prove i am looking for work.
I think it's a matter of time to review the documents and if needs to be checked " a week or two" and then will be forward to the minister for a decision.

What do you mean by court order !!! do you mean a copy of the court sentence ?
