If every applicant adds their case here and update the status as it changes, it would be very helpful for others. It gives an idea of average timelines and what is happening to applications etc...

I am not advertising this and I am posting this here as it would be helpful for everyone. I urge you guys to add your cases as soon as you have the receipts.

I have to agree that this was a very good suggestion. I looked at this site and it appears that it's taking on average of 2 weeks or 15 days from receipt of application to approval. It certainly puts my mind at ease somewhat. It's certainly worth checking out.

Tracking

Post by narayans_007 » Thu Aug 23, 2007 11:21 am

nsm,

Good to know that you got the reference number. Good luck with the application. I got mine on 9th and waiting for the decision.

Its just a suggestion that you add your case to the trackitt site and keep updating your case status manually, whenever there are changes to your case. Like application assigned to case worker(if you come to know this through phone), or decision date, or documents received etc.. So that it helps others on whats going on in general with the applications, and average processing times. Hope this helps.

narayan

Not yet assigned to caseworker

Post by narayans_007 » Thu Aug 23, 2007 11:28 am

Called up HO on 20th to check the status and was told that application is not yet assigned to case worker. So, there seems to be either a huge backlog of applications or most of case workers must be on summer vacation :)

The below are timelines of my application:

Application sent : 1st august
Application received by HO : 8th august
Ref Nr received by email : 9th august

Narayan

Still waiting to be assigned to case worker

Post by tdpowers » Thu Aug 23, 2007 5:44 pm

I just called the Home Office and my case is still waiting to be assigned. I'm starting to believe the comment about the workers being on summer holiday. What's worse is that Monday is a bank holiday here in the UK (one less day to process applications next week). This may be a longer wait than I would have hoped.

Dear Narayan,

I already add my case to tracitt.com and updating as well.

When I got my reference number in earlier hours, Customer support rep. told me that no body has been assigned for your case yet. Currently they are processing cases uptil 10th of August. May be next week they are going to start processing on the cases for 14th August and onwards.

But in later hours I recieved an email from HSMP Team, that my contact address is same as my employers (work) address. I replied them that in Saudi Arabia there is no concept of mail delivery to residential addresses, therefore every body is using theri work addresses for correspondance, even DHL is not delivering it to the residential addresses.

But their mail shows that someone has already started processing my application??? What are your feelings guys?????? should I call them tommarow again and confirm?

Processing of application

Post by narayans_007 » Fri Aug 24, 2007 8:37 am

Hi nsm,

You say that they are currently processing applications uptill 10th august. But my application was received by them on 8th and I received the reference number on 9th itself. So, I should be in that pool. Neverthless nothing to worry. Its only 2+ weeks since they received. Lets relax and give them another couple of weeks.

Regards,
Narayan

Hi Chaps
I sent my documents today i.e. 25th August 2007.

Mine is an In-Country application. Sent my documents using Royal Mail's signed delivery. Also sent a paid return Signed delivery packed, so that HSMP can return my documents.

The following are the documents that I had sent with my application..

1. Academic qualification - 35 Pts
a) Original Masters degree certificate
b) Original Masters degree transcript
c) Original Bachelor's degree certificate
d) Original NARIC's letter of comparibility, comparing my Masters to UK masters and bachelor's to UK bachelors degree.
e) There was a slight difference in my name in degree certificate as compared to my birth certificate / passport. I also sent a sworn affidavit (sworn in front of a Solicitor) stating both names represent the same person

2. Previous earnings - 25 pts
a) My 12 month's pay slips, signed and stamped by my employer
b) My 12 month's bank statement where my salary was credited
c) A letter from my employer in the company letter head signed by the managing director indicating the date from which I am employed with the organisation along with the gross yearly salary. I have also providied monthly break up of my gross and net salary.
d) P60 for the year April 2006 - March 2007 (though this isn't required I have provided the same)
e) My pay slips are in A5 paper which makes it impossible to provide the designation of the person signing it. I have also provided a letter from my managing director (the person signing the pay slip) stating that it was him who had actually signed my pay slips

3. Previous UK experience - 5 points
a) no proof provided
4. Age - 10 points
a) Original UK driving licence
b) Original brith certificate
5. English language proficiency
a) IELTS Test report indicating my overall band as 7.5

I was assured by Royal Mail that the document will reach HSMP on Wednesday.

Hoping for the best will keep you posted.

Cheers
PG

HO will not permit that. Either they will sent it back to your mailing address you have filled on Page 3 of HSMP application or your lawyer / agent (if you are filing your application through lawyer / agent).
